I went to Old Town Music yesterday with the intention of buying a guitar. I've always eyed the Ukuleles when walking in there but didn't know much about them. After speaking with Dan at great length, I was sold. I've already learned three songs. (although they're still pretty rough) My fingers are slowly adjusting, but are quite sore from practicing, which is making chord transitions difficult. I'm having fun learning a new instrument. I'm excited to be able to have something I can take with me everywhere...camping, the beach, the possibilities are endless!
The internet makes learning songs on the the Uke so easy!
Two great Uke resources I've found:

April and May were so busy. I finished up my student teaching, walked at commencement, and flew back to Boston to visit my two closest girlfriends and their new baby girls! Now that it's summer I should be able to attend to my music. I have stumbled upon a couple of great bands that I want to tell everyone about! But it will have to wait...
Until next time...

Nice, Amy. check for finger position. Make sure you are pressing down hard right behind the fret. Expect your fingers to be sore for a couple of weeks, then you'll develop callouses. Now I'm considering getting one After I work on my electric style for a while. What is the brand and model?
